I'm Kelsey Trotta, owner of Trotta Translations and award-nominated Spanish, Portuguese, French, and Italian to American English translator/interpreter. I offer over a decade of translation, interpretation, marketing, transcreation, and localization experience, and I specialize in assisting immigrant clients from the Brazilian community, attorneys, and foreign businesses by translating vital records, immigration documents, marketing materials, and contracts. Furthermore, I have translated a variety of United Nations documents on sustainability and electoral reform, as well as academic journal articles for prestigious universities on three continents.
My previous localization clients include five-star international hotel chains, Babbel, Workana, the largest freelance platform in Latin America, digital entertainment firms, travel blogs, telecommunications firms, chefs, non-profit organizations, cosmetic companies, and HR firms. I hold a B.A. in Spanish from University of Michigan, spent an extended period of time working in Brazil, and received training at the Alliance Française in Paris, Strasbourg, and Chicago, the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, and the Scuola Palazzo Malvisi in Ravenna.
